Portraits:
“What I aspire to, in a portrait, is to project the entire person, his lifestyle and experience, even though the viewer may see only a study of the head of the subject. I would hope their personality could be easily read even without a title.”
Landscapes:
“My paintings of the natural world are not symbols in the sense that they are created from impressions but are of specific locations. It is refreshing to look at a landscape that draws us in. What I have been choosing to do lately is the finale of the day.”
