From the 19th century to the present, artists have approached similar subject matter, concepts, and issues relevant to their time and place. This exhibition contrasts and compares the artworks from the past with works from the present, and examines what has changed in our approach to the world around us in the last 150 years and how that is evident in the artwork created then and now.
