In her first solo exhibition at MONA, Omaha artist Marvel Maring brings her colorful and intricate handmade artist books filled with paintings of abstracted organic imagery. The books are juxtaposed with two-dimensional paintings and scrolls inspired by the “healing” scrolls found in the Coptic tradition of North Africa.
