The Museum of Nebraska Art welcomes everyone.
Everyone is welcome at the Museum. We’re committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment that accommodates the needs of all visitors.
- Handicap parking is available in the parking lot on the east side of the Museum.
- All galleries and facilities are wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and scooters are welcome as are people with walkers or strollers, or service animals.
- A wheelchair is available for use. Information is available at the Visitor Service Desk.
- Handicap accessible bathrooms are located on the main level.
- An elevator services the Museum’s three levels.

Shop at MONA
The Anne Thorne Weaver Shop at MONA is located on the main level just off the Visitor Service Desk and is open during Museum hours.

The Museum is a safe space open to everyone.
We ask that you be mindful of your surroundings and maintain a safe distance from the artwork inside and outside the Museum, including those behind and around you.

What are your hours of operation and how much is admission?
The Museum is currently closed for a transformative expansion, restoration and renovation project. When the Museum reopens, regular business hours will be:
- Tuesday-Saturday | 10:00 am-5:00 pm
- Sunday | Noon-5:00 pm
- Closed | Mondays, and major holidays
Museum admission is free however, donations are welcome.
Where can I park, and is the Museum wheelchair accessible?
Parking for all is located in the lot on the east side of the building off Avenue A as well as city side streets. The building is accessible to all visitors. Visitors requiring a wheelchair may stop by the Visitors Service Desk. Certified service animals accompanying guests are welcome.
Can I take photographs inside the Museum?
Non-flash photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise noted. Signs on the gallery door or near the artwork will indicate if photography is not permitted.
Can I carry bags in the Museum?
Small personal bags are allowed in the Museum. No backpacks are allowed. Self-service lockers are located just outside the Museum Shop on the main level. Do not leave valuables in lockers or leave items overnight. MONA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Baby carriers may be worn on the front only.
Can I sketch in the Museum?
We hope you will be inspired by the exhibitions you during your visit. Educational programs and guided tours are available and offer visitors the opportunity to immerse in creative activities throughout the Museum. If you’d like to sketch on your own, small notebooks and pencils are welcome, but please leave colored pencils and pens at home.
Is food and drink allowed in the Museum?
Food and beverages are allowed in certain public spaces of the Museum but not in any of the galleries as indicated.
Can I have an event at the Museum?
Certain areas of the Museum are available for rent for public or private events and gatherings. Please contact the Museum at 308-865-8559 for more information.
