MONA’s mission is to celebrate the history of Nebraska’s visual art for diverse audiences. MONA collects, preserves, researches, exhibits, and interprets the work of artists who were born, lived, trained, or worked in Nebraska or who created artworks that reflect the culture of Nebraska. For more than 45 years MONA has been able to fulfill this mission because of the support of dedicated individuals and organizations that share our passion for Nebraska art and artists.

Give Where You Live
Each year, MONA participates in the Kearney Area Community Foundation’s annual Give-Where-You-Live day. Typically held the first Thursday in December, this day of giving is a fun way to support a specific cause at MONA.
