Painter Dale Nichols, David City, Nebraska native and fourth among the Regionalists Grant Wood, Thomas Hart Benton, and John Steuart Curry, has a reputation for idyllic winter American farm scenes that are still very popular today. The exhibition, a selection of the Nichols Collection from Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art, captures the consistency and evolution of this artist, writer, teacher, illustrator, musician, and archaeologist. In his 50-year career, he stayed true to his original inspiration: his Nebraska farming childhood.
