Paul Swan was a noted artist, poet, and dancer in the early part of the 20th century. He painted and sculpted many famous people including Isadora Duncan, Willa Cather, and John F. Kennedy, among others. He was heralded as the “Most Beautiful Man in the World” and “America’s Leonardo.” From the plowed fields of Nebraska to life on the world’s stages, Swan believed in the idea that beauty was a messenger of truth, and through his artistic expressions sought to achieve that.
